There are different reasons why you only see the necessary category in the consent popup.
Here are the most common ones:
1. Your website hasn’t been scanned yet.
When you add your website to Cookie Information platform, our scanner will scan your website twice:
- The initial scan finds any cookies that are set when the site first loads.
- The full scan crawls your site based on the number of URLs you’ve selected in your scanning settings.
The initial scanning may take up to 24 hours. Until then, you might only see the necessary category on the popup because the scanner hasn’t finished yet.
2. The scanner is blocked from accessing your website.
If the scanner can’t access your website, it won’t be able to detect any cookies. This means the popup won’t display accurate or complete information.
If you think your website might be blocking the scanner, contact us at support@cookieinformation.com
3. Your website doesn’t use any cookies or only uses necessary cookies.
Our popups include an autohide feature. This means:
- If no cookies are found in a specific category, for instance, statistics or marketing, the category and its toggle will be hidden from the popup.
- If no optional cookies are found on your website, or your website only uses necessary cookies, only the necessary category cookies will appear.
4. You’re testing the popup on a test domain.
If your domain is added as a public test site or internal test domain, it won’t be scanned. Only public domains are scanned.
You can still add the script to your test domain. However, only the necessary category and its toggle will appear.
