Update your consent popup template to the latest version

Learn how to update your consent popup template to the latest version.

We occasionally release new versions of our consent popup templates. Let’s say you’re using Overlay v2 – Google Consent Mode v2 version 1.0.0 and you want to update to 1.2.1.

This article shows you how to update your template to ensure you’re using the latest version.

Before you start

Here are a few things to know before you start:

  • We recommend using the latest version of templates to ensure everything works correctly.
  • When you update your template, it will revert to the default version. This means any changes you’ve made to the HTML, CSS, or JavaScript in Template code will be removed. We recommend copying these changes first, updating the template, and then pasting them into the new version.
