Updated over 2 months ago

To give your app users transparency and control over what data is collected about them, you should collect and manage user consent. You can do that with a mobile consent solution. In this article, we'll show you how to create a mobile consent solution, and create and edit consent items.

Before you start

  • You need to first contact your account manager to access a mobile consent solution.

  • Your users can consent to different purposes. In Cookie Information, these are called consent items. They can include different categories such as necessary, functional, statistical and marketing. These items are unique, and you can only use each of them once in the consent solution.

  • You can also add custom consent items, for example, for the technologies you use in your app.

  • There's no limit to the number of custom consent items you can have in your mobile consent solution.

  • The mobile consent solution you create comes by default with five content items: necessary, functional, statistical and marketing and privacy policy.

  • The privacy policy item is mandatory, so you can’t delete it but you can edit it.
